This is an adapter plate / mounting kit that allows you to mount Vario topcases (from earlier BMW models such as R1250GS, R1200GS, F750/850 GS, or F800 GS) onto the Vario topcase carrier of the R1300GS.
Features:
It retains the locking mechanism and mounting method of the original Vario topcase when using older BMW cases on the new frame.
The adapter is made of a high-strength, impact-resistant carrier plate with spacers and rubber buffers to reduce vibration.
Finished in black, designed to blend seamlessly and discreetly with the new R1300GS styling.
The adapter set is intended for road use only, not for extreme offroad stresses.
Mounting is relatively straightforward: the adapter plate attaches to four existing connection points using supplied hardware.
Compatibility Considerations:
When used, the set allows older BMW Vario topcases (from R1250GS, R1200 GS LC, F-series GS) to be used on the R1300GS.
There may be fitment caveats: it only fits where the topcase holder is installed on the R1300GS / GSA models.
