Fitment / Compatibility: Designed for BMW S1000XR (2020 onward) and also compatible with BMW M1000XR (2023 onward) models.
Material: Stainless Steel construction (SS variant).
Function / Purpose: Acts as an optional header/exhaust collector (4-into-1 design) to be used in conjunction with an Akrapovič slip-on/muffler. It allows upgrading the front header portion without replacing the entire exhaust system.
Performance / Benefits: Improves exhaust flow and reduces weight (as the stock catalytic or factory header is often heavier).
To maintain proper engine performance and avoid check engine faults, ECU remapping or tuning is often recommended when installing optional headers.
Notes / Warnings: Because this is an “optional header” product, it doesn’t include the muffler — it’s intended to mate with your existing Akrapovič or compatible slip-on exhaust. In Euro5 / emissions-regulated setups (with multiple lambda sensors), removal of the catalytic portion or deviation from stock exhaust may trigger fault codes or emissions non-compliance alerts.
